what it means to be "B", and while I might only be ~5% effective, it's better than being 100% ineffective.Genius! Welcome everyone and thank you!
Hi SW, and welcome. Iām glad you decided to join our conversation.
Ishamael, hmmm. Every time I read it, including the first time, it has been a validation: my head feels clear. Same feeling as when I am in the forest, free, myself. Then my head becomes clouded again and my priorities become twisted by the compromises I have to make for survival in my ācodependence on a society with an agriculture addictionā (is that a good way of putting it?)ā¦
I digress. Long and short of it, Ishmael brings me back to myself. Is that what youād say it does for you, too?
Thanks SilverArrow. Iād say mind control played a good part in it, and to memorize more information for more mechanical testsā¦just doesnāt fire up my appetite for learning.
Good to see you again William and Neighbor, even if only by way of ethernet.
And Jana, for I believe we met at a wild food potluck you hadā¦ where I drank some of the kombucha you created, that I enjoyed very much, along with the delicious food found there. Your telling of the desert reminds me even more how much I miss the beauty found there. The smell is a memory that stays with me as well, especially the scent when the monsoons come to visit.
Hello and welcome SW!
welcome barefoot, wood and starving.wolf!
Hello Starving Wolf!
Hello everyone. Itās good to find a community of like minded individuals. I was beginning to feel like I was a lone voice in the woods, when it came to finding others who understand and talk about whatās going on, and see rewilding as a sane alternative to what weāre presently living. Stumbled upon this forum purely by accident, and glad Iām here now.
Iām 50, married, two kids, and have practiced primitive living,ecological/spiritual awareness, and many other things that I guess can all be summed up as ārewildingā. To me, now that it has a title, rewilding is what Iāve been striving for since I was about 15 yrs old, and had an uneasy feeling that things were not quite right, but at that age I was not able to put a finger on it.
Anyway, Iām glad Iām here, and am looking forward to exchanging ideas, info, and just plain discussing things with everyone.
Cheers.
Alex
Awesome! Glad to have you here Alex. Welcome to the site!
Hey Everyone,
My name is Angela (AJ) and Iām a 21 year old college student currently residing in Ontario. (Originally from Alberta). Im in an Outdoor Adventure Program and in the last year have really begun to start thinking in an anti-civ type way. Leading up to meeting my current boyfriend who has really inspired me, and taught me (shown me) a lot in the past year, I began questioning and really struggling to find my feet in this world. After a 2 month canoe trip in the Northwest Territories, I came back and started Unviersity and faced some serious culture shock. The next two years I spent hopping in and out of universities, working, and trying to figure out what to call my restlessness. It was finally last year, when I believe that I have started to figure things out.
I am still learning everyday, laying awake at night thinking. Iāve been doing a lot of reading lately as well (Endgame-Derrick Jensen, The World Without Us, Allan, Weisman)This forum looks amazing, full of information I know I will take a lot out of. Any inspiration and direction at this point is incredibly helpful!
I hope to prowl as much as I can on this website and the Derrick Jensen forum Iām also a new member of! Hereās to discovery and change.
Welcome AJ!! I look forward to your contributions.
Boy, lately weāve had some great folks jump on board the forum.
Hello all, Iām Shane. I live in Alabama and have my whole life(36 years), but have been somewhat of an adventurer (sp?) all over this planet. My winters are spent here for the most part, in a small camp a few miles from home and the rest of the year i like to travel as much as i can on extended trips. Look forward to learning and shareing with all the intersting folk here. ā¦Shane
Hey Shane, Welcome. What brings you to rewilding and Rewild.info?
I just seem to āmigrateā towards like minded people I guessā¦lol
Shane,
Haha. Me too. Iām curious what experiences you had that put you on the path of rewilding?
I think i was born on the path of rewilding and that caused me to seek out expirienceās. Make any sense?..lol
Hello, Iām known as Jebrim in the G@ world. Some of you already know me from the past(e.g. Urban Scout). Currently living in Rhode Island, and i run The Green Anarchy Forums which arenāt as active as these here iām sorry to say.
hi jebrim!
iāll have to check out the ga forums. iām not really much of an anarchist (or primitivist, depending on def), but iām sympathetic to it
i hope you enjoy this forum, iām sure you have some good insights to add
iāve recently had problems with labeling myself as well so iāve just given up and decided not to go by any label. each time i try to i always get caught up in this type of pride thing and i end up defending beliefs that arenāt even mine. But, like you, iām still sympathetic to the whole anti-civ/g@ movement.
Hey Jebrim, welcome to the site.
ā¦Youāll have to jog my memory. Where do I know you from?
Shane,
Okay. What I have communicated to you in my previous questions, translates as me asking you for more information about yourself.
āHi, my name is joe. I work in a buttom factoryā does not āintroduceā yourself to us in a meaningful way that we can jive to. Please, tell us more about yourself before asking us about our experiences. Tell us about your experiences. Give us something to go on man!
The old forumsgreenanarchy.jconserv.net/ and maybe even my own forums: z9.invisionfree.com/greenanarchy
and i think the old CAC board too.
Hmā¦ I donāt remember ever being part of those forumsā¦ possibly another Urban Scout exists out there somewhereā¦
