I saw that film about 6 months ago at a film festival. I loved it but couldn’t remember the name. I’m glad you posted it! It reminds me of my own childhood, except I did not feel such contempt, merely escapist desires.
Man, I could do without the witch/mother issue, but otherwise this is great. I don’t think i’ve ever heard a more amazing string of five words than “warmed over corpses of food.”
