I read an article about the dire condition of prairie dogs today and how little is being done to help them out:

And then I vaguely remembered reading about “Seekers of the Red Mist” in Derrick Jensen’s End Game. so i google searched it. apparently, Red Misting is a “sport” in which you drive out to the prairie (or at least what’s left of it), find some prairie dog burrows, wait for the little guys to come out, and then blast them into “red mist” with high powered rifles. what i didn’t expect is discussion forums. you’d think there isn’t much to “discuss” when it comes to red misting, but there is actually a forum for this shit.

I can’t believe how sick some people are.
this kind of stuff really gets me down. :’( >:(

A while ago i stumbled across those boards while looking for something else. i found someone boasting that they were taking their child along to indoctrinate them in the “sport”.

i felt like i would vomit rage…
