Seattle area weekly/monthly meets?

Calling all around the area, up to anything saturday or sunday afternoons?

Hike through the parks, plant/tree ID, available foods/plant usages for the time of the year??

Anyone have roadkill?

tools/shelter making, techniques, cordage, hunting, w/e???

How about this upcoming weekend (3-8 / 3-9) or next?

This weekend … not so good. :frowning: I’m going to Texas to see my best friend!

Let’s definitely keep talking about it, though. I imagine Discovery Park has undergone some changes since the last time we were there…

Well maybe next weekend we can get hold a small gathering, anyone else out there up for it?

Hey there, I’d love to join in on some meetups later in April and thereafter. I’m a newbie to the forum, and somewhat disconnected form the rewild scene around here, having been away for 8 months. I’ve been drooling over the number of workshops and meetups happening in the Portland area, thinking that something of equal caliber has to happening here as well (wish I could get down there more often, but traversing among babylonian cities is getting eeexpeeensive, whew, as we all know).

Anyway, hit me up if you want to meet up later in the month. I typically have Friday through Sun free. I live up in the wedgwood co-op, and can meet pretty much anywhere accessible via bicicleta.

stay well and get wild

hey welcome to the site, I know the feeling, Portland seems to get all the action!
I’d still love to hear from some more people out there on this, Saturday or Sunday currently works for me…

I might head up to Discovery Park this weekend (Saturday may 3rd noon/afternoon), anyone available care to join in?

haven’t been on here for more than 2 minutes in ages! I’m stuck in the bowels of Charels River Labs as their foolish voluntary rat right now, but I will crawl back into the sunlight around may 24th. I’m gonna head out to TrollSplinter land shortly there after for some shelter building fun time. If any NW peeps wanna join me feel free and welcome!
I will be coming back around to the eastside of the peninsula to hit up the medieval fair in port Gamble may 31st to june 1st. Also a good time, I’m sure! Hit me up if you’re interested.

I plan to come up for a story game gathering in downtown seattle, may 31-june 1, possibly with another rewilder. maybe we can make it dovetail somehow…?

yes, we should get this going again, kestrel et al.

Yeah, I saw some new people interested on the phenomenology thread, I’m up for doing something around the Seattle area this weekend or next or so if others have interest. Kestrel, still planning on heading out to the peninsula soon?

Probably going out to Dash Point state park with a few others in the later afternoon (after 4pm) if anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma would like to come, send a message and we can find a way to hook up.

What day?

Thursday, 4pm.

We had a good time, Dash Point is filled with berries, Salmon Berries (though appear to be ending their season), elderberries abound, huckleberries, blackberries just coming in. A couple other berries too, Indian plum?, and some other I don’t remember the name of…

Yeah, Indian Plum (also known as Osoberry), and the not too amazing berries of the False Solomon’s Seal. After we parted I found some Thimbleberries on the beach, but they are also on their way out of season it seems.

Anybody that’s into hitting the coast side of the peninsula in August, I’m gonna be out there almost the entire month. Feel free to come frolic on Trollsplinter land! I’ll be harder to get in touch with over the internet come August so write me now if you’re interested and we can exchange numbers or something.

Woot!

Amazingness! I just this past weekend met an uncle who lives their and said, “come visit and stay at my place. Call me if you plan to come and tell me if you plan to bring any friends, I got enough room for all you’ll!” Thus, we might finally get to meet one another. Yay! ;D

I was just took a trip around the Olympic peninsula! Went out to Quileute Days (La Push). Such a magical, mythically beautiful place. I’d love to hit up out there some more, August should work out great.

I got a fishing pole a couple months, but have only gone out once, partly out of inexperience induced inconfidenced, and partly out of lack of people to fish with. anyone here doing any fishing that needs a partner? i’d also really like to get in to archery, but don’t own a bow yet.
