"Seasonal Starches for Serious Subsistence Series"

Hey All,

@Rewild Portland we’ve been developing a program called “Seasonal Starches for Serious Subsistence Series” in which we explore the plant foods that have calories: i.e. nuts, roots, bulbs, and tubers. More of the edible plants stuff concerns leafy greens. That’s great, but you can’t live off leafy greens. Let’s talk about which plants we can eat to live off of.

Anyone have any ideas? For their region? We are focusing on a few things like Acorns, Cattail Rhizome, Camas, Salsify Roots… This has been something I’ve thought about for a long time.
