Rewild Meet-Ups, Gatherings, Forums, etc

Me and another guy are considering putting together some kind of Rewild gathering some time in the future. The thing is we’ve never attended one. I’ve been to various kinds of indigenous gatherings, and I’ve helped organize some, and I suspect that there are simillarities, but that’s about the extent of my experience in that “department”.

So far, I know one person in the province where I live (Quebec) who considers himself a Rewilder, and this is the person I just mentioned above. I have a few friends who might be interested to attend and even participate, as they might be of like mind or at least to a certain point. I’m also considering creating an internet discussion list and/or forum, also to reach out. Actually, not just me but the other person I mentioned also, in order to reach other likeminded people.

I’d really appreciate your input, experience, and suggestions.

Thanks
Misko

Well, you can always use my group, and it seems smart that we should exchange links and stuff if you make your own.

If I wasn’t so terribly poor and unemployed, I’d try to make it to whatever you were planning. I’ll try to give some advice if I can actually get people to come to my workshop next week.

Thanks incendiary_dan, for your offer to use your group.

And I wish I was in your area next week for your workshop.

Me too! (it would bolster the meager attendance I’m sure of :P)

Lol! Yeah!

Awesome Wigwam (on your group homepage) BTW.
Did you make it?

No, sadly. I picked that because it looks way more home-y than mine. My wigwam is much crappier looking. I got extremely sidetracked in the past month, and now I don’t have time to go looking for and harvesting suitable bark (the neighbor source didn’t come through). I ended up covering it with industrial tarps temporarily. At present, it’s covered, partially furnished, and has a nice hearth dug. Need to add rugs, and finish off the raised platform (and maybe make another). I just tried to take some pictures of it, but when I came back to the computer and looked at them I decided to take them again in the morning.

Hopefully, after meeting with interested people and forming a core group, I’ll be able to have some meet-ups and talks in my wigwam.

That made me smile.

You’ll probably reconsider that after seeing the inside of the partially completed wigwam, which I’m going to take pictures of now.
