This has been a desire I’ve had for about 6 years now after seeing my first Nutria waddling around under a Portland overpass. Not only are they invasive, but damn do they look delicious! Any PDX folks up for showing some kids around? Maybe some folks could give us some tips on prime Nutria habitat? I’m coming down the 17th and 18th of Nov. with one or two others. Anybody have a backyard to offer for a skinning party? If you’re down for a cold, wet, most likely fruitless hunt, drop me a line. ;D
geez, the nutria hunt has come and gone and now I’m not allowed to delete this post. sorry for the dead weight post.
no worries. maybe it will prompt someone to try a similar hunt in the future.
I think they still have a bounty on them in Louisiana. 2 dollars maybe? You need a trapping license need proof of proper disposal of carcasses. Swear you killed them in Louisiana.
Yeah next time I’ll try the Louisiana thing, fool proof :D. It’s amazing how vegans are able to so effectively rain on my hunting parade, at least PDX is always a good time. I’m glad I went, even if we just drank beer on a freight train instead of killing cuddly little Nutria in the Willamette. Next time we’re going to the country side with my roommates .22. People pay you for em down near Scio too.
