My sister just told me about this…I had heard of leech therapy but not maggot therapy.

a woman here told me that too
This is something I’ve considered for my dads leg ulcers for some time, but haven’t yet figured out how I would attempt it.
A bit off the topic, but I have heard a story about a man who had a gangrene on his leg. His dog licked the wound, it healed perfectly. Take that, modern science!
Ketahko,
i’ve heard of that too. i recently watched National Geographic’s A man Among Wolves (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5rN1m2nJzk) . The guy said that after being bitten or scratched by them, he’d go to the doctors and get his wounds cleaned and stitched up, but the wolves would just pull the stitches out and clean the wounds themselves. according to him, the wounds healed much faster when doctored by the wolves. pretty interesting.
