I know there may be a West-Coast bend to this site, but I wanted ya’ll to know the Mid-West and South are thinking along the same lines:

The concept is to do an open-source gathering where people bring skills they are confident to teach, and skills they need space and others to learn and experiment with.

This seminar will be held on Memorial Day weekend (5/24-5/28), and rather than glorify the violent triumph of civilization, we will choose to remember the devastation of civilization as a launchpad into something different, into something hopefully bettter.

These seminars also mark the bridging of intellectual pursuits into more spiritual pursuits. There will be lots of observation, berry-picking, nightwalking, and perhaps even an analog to the Lakota Inipi ceremony.

Hopefully you’ll learn lots of cool stuff on rewild.info and be itching to join us! (The next seminar will be on the next civilization “free day”, Labor Day).

Looks pretty rad!

I wouldn’t say this site has any coastal leanings really. We’ll all end up in the Canadian Rockies in five or six years anyway.

You know, the boreal forests of canadian in the east look like a great refuge, too. Just something about Canada that keeps the Takers away… oh yeah, the cold… But after my experience in Northern Michigan… I’d say it ain’t that bad (if you spent the season before preparing…)

I figured you were mister popular and all your friends would be all up in this site. But then, that’s what you get for figuring. I’m actually really excited about the potentials here at this site.
