Ireland

Most here seem to be from US but there are a lot of lurkers it seems. Anyone into setting a camp up somewhere in Ireland?

I know we have some users “near” you. I think Vashti hails from Wales. I recall some other folks from the UK like Kaliverdant and maybe somebody else.

I don’t know of anyone in Ireland, off hand, but hopefully some folks will reply to you here.

Shout out to my irish ancesters! :-*

I wish I saw this earlier. I’m currently in Limerick studying abroad. I’ll be heading back to the states at the end of this week…

Hello!

I want to start rewilding.

I am living in Dublin. Have transport and some ideas…

Let me know if you are interested!

Thanks

Brian

Sorry, I never got the notification. Get in touch if you’re still around,
Andy

Hi Andy and Brian

I’m over in England at the moment and I’ll be moving to Scotland in about 6 months. Anyway if your looking to meet up with people to practice bushcraft skills with I would reconmend the BCUK forum it has quite a few Irish members who hold regular meets in Ireland. I would also reconmend coming to next years Bushmoot which is held in Wales a few rewilders go to that event and it has quite a few experts in things like flintknaping and tracking ect.
Its much cheaper than going on courses anyway ;D
Just don’t mention politics on the forum as they enjoy banning people for that.
Here’s the forum http://www.bushcraftuk.com/
Hope this is useful to you.
Rob

Cool link! I think I’ll add that to our list of links.

Hi Scout
Your right the BCUK forum is a very cool link! And the Bushmoot is the UK equivalent of your Rabbitstick a good place to learn bushcraft skills and meet some like minded people but thats all its got going for it. You can’t talk openly about the crash or talk about the importance of invisable technologys in building tribes or non-abusive parenting techniques etc.

So in short we really need some rewild camps, I would love to start one up over here but at the moment I don’t think I know enough people.
So I travel round alot trying to get as people interested in rewilding as possible, so maybe next year I’ll give it a go.

Could you tell me how to get on to your links page, I can’t find it.

Now I can’t find the links page! I’ll have to bug Willem, I think he made it.

If you need any logistical help with running the rewild camp, let me know. I’m making a “rewild camp” production book for seattle, olympia and eugene, to give to the people who live in those cities so they can run their own after I do the NW coast tour. I’ll probably post a sample here too.

Thanks Scout ;D
