The Firefly Gathering (skills for living with the earth) is happening
Friday, June 27- Monday, June 30 about 8 miles from Asheville, NC at a
family farm. The cost is very reasonable, $75-150 sliding scale for
the entire event, or $25-50 sliding scale for a day pass. This
gathering will be a family friendly place for people to explore
traditional and sustainable ways of living with each other, and as
integrated part of the web of life. There will generally be two
workshop slots a day with several classes occurring concurrently during
each slot. In the evenings we will have a central campfire, where
stories, drumming, and dancing will be shared. A few of the classes we
plan to offer are primitive pottery, fire by friction, bow making,
outdoor survival skills, debris shelter making, basket making,
medicinal and edible plant walks, blacksmithing, and homesteading 101.
We hope to see you in June!
