CNN has a photo collection of the area around Chernobyl 25 years after the disaster. Although perhaps not what we typically would think of as a rewilding setting, it does show how things look after humans have withdrawn from an area. (Note that the website requires flash.)
It really is quite beautiful. To be able to see Nature taking it all back and “rewilding” it herself. It serves as a great inspiration for us that we are still a part of it and can do this ourselves. That even if we leave it alone, it’ll still happen.
