Britain!

Hi Yarrow
I live in Nottingham and I think that us British/Northern European rewilders need to meet up. As far as i know there is Karln who lives in Yorkshire and johnpaul in London as well as timeLESS near Amsterdam.

Anyway i’m not very confident with my primitive skills so i’m going to the 2008 Bushmoot in Wales in August 1st-5th more details on www.bushcraftuk.com

It would be great if we could meet up then or some other time or place. I going to direct the others i’ve listed to this thread.

I live in northwestern Germany and I am interested in a meeting. I also know timeLESS a bit (just through the internet). Maybe we can arrange a meetup in Amsterdam or London?

By the way, the bushcraft is booked up.

See ya and take care,

Boris

Meeting up sometime would be nice if anyone is motivated enough to make plans. I’ll try and remember to watch this thread in case anybody suggests anything.

Sorry I didn’t explane it very well.
While the bushmoot is fully booked those people are camping on the site for the full 5 days and 4 nights. It is still possible to sign in as a day visitor on the day for £20 but you may need some where else to stay the night.

This is what i’m doing anyway, I’m going as a day visitor from the 1st-5th but I’m going to arrive a day or 2 early in Bridgend which is only a few miles from the moot to scout out a cheap campsite or something. If you want to come contact me.

Boris I’m wanting to do some travaling in Germany within the next month or 2. So I’ll get in touch before I set off. Meanwhile if you want to practice bushcraft skills with someone, become a member on www.bushcraftuk.com and go on the forum marked Meetups and social chatter and you will find some people in the Netherlands meeting up.
Hope this is useful. ;D

OK I have train tickets and should arrive in Bridgend at 15:23 if by some miracle the train runs on time. Not sure how I might find you though prior to meeting at the moot on the 2nd. If you can get on the internet once you find a campsite and post here to say where you’ve gone (sounds like you’ll be there a day or two before me?), I may look for the same site; otherwise I’ll see you at the moot I guess.

Great! look forward to seeing u Karln.
I could meet u at the station if u want.
If ur arriving on the 2nd I will have found out if we can stay at the moot over night or if not I’ll have a campsite to fall back on.

Have u read MY NAME IS CHELLIS AND I’M IN RECOVERY FROM WESTERN CIVILIZATION and THE SPELL OF THE SENSUOUS? If u haven’t I can lend u them. I’ve also got WHAT A WAY TO GO LIFE AT THE END OF EMPIRE on dvd.

Any books/ dvds that have moved u?

Sorry, that’s 15:23 on the 1st of August. Is the time I arrive. In theory.

Would be nice to get a look at Spell of the Sensuous; I’ve been checking around for that for a while. I’m not really the being moved type though. Most of my crash/primitivism-related reading was the anthropik.com archives.
