This morning the radio featured an item on “audio description” - a new addition to a TV-show (dating-series “Farmer seeks wife”) to “fill in” the images for the blind. These descriptions get added in between the spoken word of the program itself.
For example: “The sun sets as they drive through the fields, hairs dancing in the wind.”
I found it particularly interesting to note the verbiness and richness of the added-in text. The (blind) lady who commented this first audio-described program also had some interesting comments; she had missed descriptions of the farmers themselves!
