Hi folks, Ravn here.
Norwegian green anarcho punk and nature freak.
Looking forward to share, learn and teachā¦
Welcome Ravn. In norway?
Alright, so my nameās Sarah, and I was introduced to ārewildā by a friend thatās on this site(Fenriswolfr), and have decided that itās most likely something worth my time and energy. Thereās so much to read and learn, I wonder if Iāll ever get around to it. Anyway, I live in gorgeous Portland, Oregon, and I grew up in Ashland. Iām 17 years old, confident, spontaneous, ambitious and intelligent, but most of all a thoughtful human being with a passion for philosophy, love and music.
Iāve always been very close to nature, whether itās been being raised by a veterinarian and wildlife fanatic father, a marine biology obsessed mother, grandparents that hike and camp more than anyone I know, or my intense connection with the Ocean and itās wonders. And thus, I think this whole concept of ārewildingā is wonderful and very fitting of my life and my soul. I hope to meet new people here, learn much, and reach out to others with my own experiences and knowledge. Go ahead and message me or something if you want to chat.
peace and love,
Sarah
Welcome Sarah/Selkie!
I love your name. I really enjoyed a story about Coos Bayās Seal People in Phantom Waters by Jessica Salmonson.
holy crap - that looks like a Danish postal stamp, eh? They have Selkies too!? Amazing. That picture feels really intense to me, too. Yikes.
Sarah/Selkie-

Selkies are so interesting, and really relate to me a lotā¦Sometimes I wonder if I am one, what with my constant yearning of the sea. Anyhow, amazing stamp picture, and Iāll have to check out that book sometime. Thankya!
Willem-
I will join for sure, I look forward to meeting some new people and joining eventsā¦Iām the kind of person that jumps into things and becomes very active, very quickly. Youāll probably see a lot more of me soon. Haha. Thank you for the link!
Hi everyone,
Iām way inspired by all of the awesome conversation on this forum and by the whole concept of Rewilding in general. I live in the Snoqualmie Valley east of Seattle and have been doing things that a lot of the other folks on this forum have been doing for awhile. My passions: Internal Martial Arts, Wild Foods and Medicines, Scout Skills, Self-Sufficiency, Survival, and Mentoring. Looking forward to talking with all of you.

Welcome all new people!
Welcome!
Hey,
New person here. ;D
Iām from Alberta, Canada, which seems to be devoid of people interested in anything besides money and industry.
Iāve been practicing primitive skills for a while now. I have always loved nature, and long before I discovered green anarchy/primitivism/anti civ/ etc, etc, etc, I was interested in living with the land. Having learned more in recent months/years, it was awesome to find that others feel the same way as I do.
I found this place by way of other forums, so I see a few familiar names, which is cool.
I draw and paint. I sing and play guitar, bass, and numerous other instruments. I also like building instruments. So far just flutes, lyres, didgeridooās, and a guitar. Harp, drums, and a hurdy-gurdy are in the worksā¦ eventually.
I listen to just about everythingā¦a lot of it is metal, punk, traditional folk(Celtic/Scandinavian mostly), medieval, rock, world, goth/post-punk. Mostly artists that blend these styles, and have pagan/heathen themes.
Anything you want to know, just ask.
Hopefully I can contribute something useful hereā¦ see you on the boards!

Hey kveldulf, looks like itās time for you to move to western Washington. Why is it that all these amazing Canadians seem to be surfacing all at once in my life? I suppose itās a bit premature to assume somebody that I have read a couple of paragraphs about is amazing, but geez, your musical taste alone is a near perfect match to mine.
Anyway, hello and welcome to you new folks! All of you are exciting additions that I look forward to hearing from. Woah. That sounded totally cheesy, but I swear it was sincere.
Hi, I go by Zero whenever I can get away with itā¦ Iām 19, female, and from the Florida suburbs. ^^;
Over the last year Iāve been getting more and more interested in self-sufficiency and being able to survive without civilization. Something was missing from my life but it took me awhile to realize I was unhappy with my canned, civilized life.
ā¦Kinda explains why I always cackle when I see trees ripping roads and sidewalks apart too. >.>;;
Iāve been lurking for awhileā¦ Thought it was time to get my feet wet a bit.
Not much to contribute yet, but Iām learning. ;D
Hi all,
Thought Iād post an official intro even if I posted my first message today in another thread.
I live with my partner ( wife) and 8 year old son near Montreal, Canada. I prefer calling this place āTurtle Islandā though. We moved here last october. Quite a change to be in a urban environment after about 13 years in the country.
Iām still really new to this forum, and Iāve only read a few threads so far. Looks very interesting. It is also encouraging to see that there are others who actually understand what kind of world weāre living in. And Iām looking forward to read, learn and perhaps bring something too.
Travel Well everyone
Hello ā an intro ā
My name is Gayle (my screen name, sacha, means āforestā or āwildā in the language of the Amazonian Kichwa). I am only three generations removed from the hunter-gatherer way of life, which was forcibly taken from us. My ancestral homeland is at the headwaters of the Nchi-Wana or Great River, which on maps is named Columbia River after a man named Columbus, and my personal homeland is on the lower part of the Great River, where the Willamette River meets it. On maps, this Place where I live is known as the city of Portland, Oregon. But I feel at home in all of the Pacific Northwest. Or Cascadia, as bioregionalists call it.
Over the years I have been involved in many aspects of indigenous struggle and have also had the privilege of learning from many elders of many peoples. I have lived and traveled throughout Indian country in North and South America, on a search for my own identity and an understanding of the meaning of āindigenous,ā learning from many peoples and many elders. Around 2000 I became involved with Indians from the Ecuadorean Amazon in their struggles against the oil companies, and one thing leading to another, I moved to the Ecuadorean Amazon and lived there for a total of about two years, most of this with the Napo Runa Indians. I am now working on a book about traditional Amazonian permaculture and how Amazonian Indians cultivate the forest in a way that increases rather than decreasing biodiversity. A living model of a way of life in which human beings are actually assets to the biosystem in which they live. Something that many humans have forgotten is possible. After that, a book about tribalism, and what it means as a social system. I see this as one of the knowledge gaps in the anti-civilization movement that I could perhaps help fill.
I figured out at a young age that forcing people to be dependent on money was the key to enslaving and controlling people. Why are homeless people are treated as outlaws? For the same reason as the bulldozer of civilization seeks inexorably to destroy (aka ādevelopā) the last vestiges of free peoples anywhere in the world who still live more or less self-sufficient and independent of the money economy ā because any viable possibilities of living independent from money, wage jobs, mortgages, etc., is a threat to their system. Many people, especially in the āland of the free,ā hate their trapped lives, but the system controls people by making Money a necessity in order to have even the bare necessities of life ā food, shelter, even water. So I have spent my life learning to live on as little money as possible. I forage, guerrilla garden, dumpster dive, barter. Only twice in my life (I am 55 years old) have I made enough money to pay taxes on. Right now I live in a one-room cabin with no utilities (except for bootlegged electricity to run my computer) working at a minimum wage job one day a week. This gives me time to garden and to write.
Question: Willem, are you Willem of Trackers NW?
