Talking to Your Other-than-human Self

I can’t recall the details, but I remember reading about a girl who was lost during WWII in Germany and was raised by a pack of wolves.
She was “rescued” years later, and the wolves were killed. She ended up running away again, of course. Besides telling of some forgotten link, it also reveals peoples lack of both logic and compassion, and refusal to see compassion in others. The pack was her family, and she watched them die, followed by seeing glory heaped on those who “saved” her.

Anyone else notice the abundance of wolves here(user names)? I see it on pagan forums and primitive skills forums all the time. I always wondered why, and this wolf/human relationship might explain it.

Kveldulf=Old Norse for “Evening wolf” (technically it should be Kveldulfr).
